Rudolf Krska is a full professor for (Bio-)Analytics and Organic Trace Analysis at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). He is the head of the Center for Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Agrobiotechnology (IFA-Tulln) at BOKU. He also serves as a professor within the Institute for Global Food Safety of Queen’s University, Belfast, Ireland. As a member of JECFA (Joint Expert Committee for Food Additives) of the FAO/WHO, he has performed extensive research evaluating the impact of trichothecene mycotoxins on humans.
In 2010, he also worked for 1-year as a Chief of Health Canada’s Food Research Division. He has received numerous scientific awards and is (co)-author of more than 280 SCI publications (h-index: 50). Currently, he is the coordinator of the EU Commission funded project MyToolBox (Safe food and feed through an integrated toolbox for mycotoxin reduction) with 23 partners and funding to the value of more than 5 million euros. Prof Krska also serves as the current President of the International Society of Mycotoxicology (ISM).
